Hiking with panoramic views is of course fantastic in the Alps. Even in high summer there is a fresh breeze in the mountains. When you are standing on a steep path and can still look into the distance, it is a very unique experience. The easiest way to get to the Drischlsteig is by cable car. So you can start in Hoch-Imst and begin the hike at the SunOrama viewing platform and walk towards Adlerhorst - another amazing viewing platform.

The trail follows narrow paths over stony ground and short but steep ascents and descents. So you should be sure-footed on the way. You may also encounter small snowfields along the trail. So be careful. Shortly before the Muttekopfhütte (an alpine cabin), where you can get some refreshment, you will pass a wonderful waterfall. A great photo spot.

On the way back it is always slightly descending. The trail is well developed and you can enjoy the mountain panoramas in front and behind you to the fullest. Your next destination could be the Untermarkter Alm (UAlm) - another alpine cabin. There you can relax and enjoy the evening.
